Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, was founded at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. on Dec. 3, 1914. A group of 15 students and faculty members, who believed that leadership at the collegiate level should be recognized and encouraged, established the Society. OΔΚ's mission is to develop individuals as leaders, support communities of leaders, and advance the ideals of leadership on college and university campuses throughout North America. Since its founding, Omicron Delta Kappa has initiated more than 300,000 members.
The Circle, the official publication of Omicron Delta Kappa, has been published continuously since 1923. The magazine highlights the accomplishments of members as well as the 300+ circles around the country and initiatives of both the OΔΚ Society and OΔΚ Foundation.
